Since 1976, Rich has been in the insurance business. He started as a direct writer representing only one company under his fathers agency, "Bittner Insurance Agency", in West Allis. Then in 1995 he made the move to become an Independent Insurance agent with his father, Gene Bittner and sister, Geralyn (Gerri) Bittner-Stodola to give their clients Choice's. Here he is able to shop the many different carriers to give his clients the best possible rates for each family. Insurance is all about transferring the risk of coverage from the insured over to the insurance company if something major happens. Strong coverages and trusted claims service support has always been Rich's main goal as an agent.
Insurance is also educating your clients on all the different policies and coverages. Rich is in his third generation of clients. As the new drivers get added to policies, that's when you need to start to educate that new driver. Later, it's the first home purchase and different forms of Life insurance to protect their loved ones in case of that unexpected death.
In July of 1998 and with the passing of his father, Gene, he and his sister joined AGIS Insurance Center in Brookfield, WI. He was able to grow his business even more with additional insurance carriers and additional offce staff to handle the many changes and calls.
Then in August of 2020, Rich and Gerri joined Ansay & Associates, LLC. A very large agency in the state of WI which just celebrated 75 years in the business in 2021. Again having many agency locations through out Wisconsin and giving Rich even more carriers to shop your rates. Also more service personnel for the clients to handle billing and service work loads. He remains in the same building in Brookfield, WI as "AGIS Insurance Center, a Division of Ansay & Associates". He continues to service all new business for the agency and current clients. This year he is celebrating 46 years in the insurance business.
