Katie Obermiller
Katie Obermiller has been in home lending just over 17 years. She was born and raised in Oregon, growing up in Corvallis before moving to Eugene to attend the University of Oregon and eventually moving to Portland. Prior to Academy Katie worked for both Guild Mortgage and Bank of America, but chose to come to Academy for its wide variety of products, focus on the customer, and ease of actually getting a loan.
Katie prides herself on making sure her customers always get into the right loan program, and being transparent and forthcoming throughout every step of the loan process. She loves working with all sorts of buyers, be it first time home buyers, growing families looking to upgrade, or experienced real estate investors.
When Katie isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her family. She has a husband named Scott, and two little boys, Sawyer and James. She's a huge football fan, and always cheers for the Ducks, and the Beavers, unless of course the Beavers are playing the Ducks in which case she remains loyal to the green and yellow. She also enjoys cooking, reading, being outdoors, and traveling to new places, but most of all, being a mom to her two boys. Katie feels her biggest achievement is balancing her career with raising her little guys, which isn't easy, but is incredibly fulfilling. She looks forward to being your partner and friend throughout the loan process.
