They say if you love what you do you will never work a day in your life. I consider myself to be one of those lucky few as I truly love what I do. I have a passion for my job even after being in the industry since April of 2002 and having helped over 1,000 families and closed over 7,000 loans for more than 1 billion dollars. I enjoy educating the first time home buyer so they can realize their dream of owning a home and building wealth through real estate. I relish the challenge when a complex self employed client comes my way and I get to figure out how to present their financial strengths to the underwriter so they get approved. I also love that the company I work at, Arbor Financial. Arbor is approved with more than 70 investors, banks, and lenders. This means I always have the most competitive interest rates, the deepest selection of loan programs and can deliver the highest level of service. My team is made up of my processor, Patty, who has 20+ years experience in underwriting loans and is one of the best, if not the best, processor I have even been fortunate enough to work with and my production manager, Lyn Cox, who is also my mother in law! Lyn got into the business in July of 2019 and rose to the challenge to quickly learn how to "manufacture" a successful loan. In addition there are several other support staff who I share with other loan officers. In my rookie year originating loans I closed 140 loans for just over $43 million and was ranked the 6th highest producing Rookie loan officer in the nation according to Mortgage Originator Magazine. In less than eight years, by the end of 2012, I was the 6th highest producing loan officer in the nation closing 797 loans for a total of $307,100,632. In 2021 I was ranked in the top 1/3 of 1% of all loan officers.
My vast experience and dedicated work ethic pays off for my clients again and again. Rarely does a loan scenario come across my desk that I have not seen in some form before. My clients can rely on me for sound advice, expert guidance in navigating an ever-changing lending environment and practical solutions to meet their home financing needs. When I’m not originating loans, I enjoy returning to my roots on the ski slopes of Colorado where my sister and I were raised by our ski instructor parents. In addition to my passion for loans and skiing, I am also an avid hiker and reader. I live in Wheat Ridge, CO with my wife, Tiffany, and two adorable pugs.
