I was born in the Bay Area, but moved to Roseville, CA, when I was five years old. I grew up in what became known as Granite Bay, having attended school in the Eureka Union School District, and graduating from Oakmont High School. After high school, I attended Snow College in Ephraim, UT, for one year before serving a two-year mission to Tokyo, Japan, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Upon completion of my church mission, I attended Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History while playing baseball for the Cougars. Shortly after getting married, I furthered my education by obtaining a Masters of Business Administration degree (MBA) from Utah State University in Logan, UT.
