My first exposure to real estate was when I filled in as a secretary for a high school girlfriend who got ill and couldn’t work in her dad’s real estate office. That was back in the 70’s, and I remember the excitement I felt looking at properties, watching people get into homes that they really loved. So I have been focused on the residential resale market for the past twenty plus years. My clients frequently comment about how I communicate; using words like: articulate, credible, available, reassuring, comforting. They feel like I know what it’s like to be them. I leave a transaction with participants feeling good about what they just experienced.
I moved a lot when I was a kid and that taught me how to assess a situation, problem solve and get to the desired outcome quickly. That is my go-to frame of mind. The volume of transactions I’m involved in exposes me to complex situations requiring complex resolutions—I’m good at that.
After working for that small real estate firm in Lakewood, I moved to larger, more prestigious companies like Van Schaack and Poole & Company. I started my family and my career track diverged. I spent several years in some of Denver’s largest law firms like Holland & Hart and Davis, Graham & Stubbs. Great experiences that fine-tuned my attention to detail. Yet my love of serving people drew me back to real estate.
