Financial Strategies Retirement Partners (FSRP) is an independent financial services provider working with businesses and individuals. Our 401(k) team manages over 150 retirement plans. Our advisors are experienced professionals capable of helping with plan design, navigating regulatory changes and providing on-going employee education. The wealth management team focuses on traditional financial planning, including investment management, tax planning and more. Shawn is the Managing Partner of FSRP. He has been providing wealth management, retirement income planning and retirement plan consulting services for over 30 years. Shawn founded Financial Strategies in 1995 and expanded the firm by co-founding FSRP with Al Gilbert in 2007. Shawn is passionate about building relationships with his clients; many of which he has worked with for decades. Independent advice and customized client service are cornerstones of FSRP.

Al co-founded FSRP with Shawn Monty in 2007 and is a Partner in the firm. He works with businesses and individuals to help them reach their retirement planning goals.  Al has more than 25 years of experience in retirement plan consulting.  His team often refers to him as the “401(k) Savant,” given his plan design expertise and understanding of ERISA rules.  We believe, his extensive knowledge is extremely helpful to our clients as they navigate a complicated and ever-changing regulatory environment.

Sarah joined FSRP as a Partner in April 2018. She has over 20 years of financial services experience working with several investment management firms and hundreds of financial advisors.  Her market knowledge is valuable as she works with both 401(k) plan sponsors and individual wealth management clients. She is passionate about working with clients to determine their specific needs and risk tolerance.  Sarah enjoys collaborating with the FSRP team to help clients achieve their goals.

Credentialed as a registered investment adviser (RIA) or a registered investment adviser representative; 2. Actively licensed as a RIA or as a principal of a registered investment adviser firm for a minimum of 5 years; 3. Favorable regulatory and complaint history review (As defined by FSP, the wealth manager has not; A. Been subject to a regulatory action that resulted in a license being suspended or revoked, or payment of a fine; B. Had more than a total of three settled or pending complaints filed against them and/or a total of five settled, pending, dismissed or denied complaints with any regulatory authority or FSP's consumer complaint process. Unfavorable feedback may have been discovered through a check of complaints registered with a regulatory authority or complaints registered through FSP's consumer complaint process; feedback may not be representative of any one client's experience; C. Individually contributed to a financial settlement of a customer complaint; D. Filed for personal bankruptcy within the past 11 years; E. Been terminated from a financial services firm within the past 11 years; F. Been convicted of a felony); 4. Fulfilled their firm review based on internal standards; 5. Accepting new clients. Evaluation criteria-considered: 6. One-year client retention rate; 7. Five-year client retention rate; 8. Non-institutional discretionary and/or non-discretionary client assets administered; 9. Number of client households served; 10. Education and professional designations. FSP does not evaluate quality of services provided to clients.
