She has been honored by the Tacoma/Pierce County MLS for Sales Achievement Awards for Million Dollar Plus sales for the past 27 years, and became a Lifetime Plus member in 1995. Only the top 2% of realtors in Pierce County achieve at this level. She is also a 7+ year recipient of the Seattle Magazine’s 5-Star Award “Best in Client Satisfaction.

She has attained the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation, which is held by only 4% of realtors nationwide, and is the highest designation award to sales associates in the residential sales field, recognizing professional accomplishments in both experience and education. She is also a Graduate of the Realtors Institute (GRI), a nationally recognized mark of excellence. Janet has been an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) for years and believes that "staging" a home properly will help it sell quicker and for more money, which is especially relevant in today’s market. She has over 10 years of corporate relocation experience, striving to make all moves as stress-free and smooth as possible.
Janet is also a Premier Director with Windermere’s Luxury Premier marketing program, and attends monthly breakfasts and events in Seattle and Bellevue to network with other high-end brokers and promote her luxury listings. She is also a Certified Luxury Marketing professional and a CLHMS (Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist) in the Million Dollar Guild.
Janet’s life outside of Real Estate...Janet is a Pacific Northwest native and attended Grays Harbor Community College and Washington State University. She is happily married to Kris Bernard, has two grown daughters and five grandchildren, and has lived in Gig Harbor for over 34 years. Janet loves to travel, read books and enjoys good food and wine. On summer days in her spare time, you’ll find her paddleboarding or kayaking in the Harbor. Janet loves animals – she grew up with horses - and she is interested in all sports, especially tennis golf and working out at the gym. She is active in her church, and has a heart for Young Life. When she’s not busy selling real estate, Janet loves to spend time with her grandchildren. Her core values are God, family and relationships, and her philosophy is that every client is treated as family and she gives million dollar service in every price range. She is passionate about real estate.
