• I met Gene when attempting to purchase my first condo. I ended up not getting that one (by choice) in favor of another, but since I had already been working with him, I continued the relationship for the new mortgage. He got me an interest only loan with zero down (back in 2003 you could do that!) which was awesome as I thought I'd be stuck renting forever without a down payment saved up. Over time the interest rates rose and it was time to refinance; again I called Gene and I got a more traditional loan that didn't fluctuate. As my property value increased, and so did my spending, I refinanced again with him to get my credit cards under control. I should point out, when we met, my score was in the 700's and because of his advice, it has been in the 815-825 range for the past near two decades! Over the years, i probably refi'd about 5-7 times with him. Many people might think that was insane, but I just sold my condo in this past December for over 2x what I paid! He hooked me up with a great realtor to help with the sale and purchase of my house. Even with all the various loan "resets", I was able to roll a bunch of the profit over, pay off all my debts, and still have a grip of cash for the new place to upgrade! And now, once again, despite having just gotten the loan 7 months ago, we're midway through another refinance where he will get my rate lower and save me $300/mo on my mortgage payment (why wouldn't I, not like I have paid down very much principal in these past few months anyways right?) Bottom line, he puts the Gene in "genius". He will always be on your side and do what's best for you. You may not even understand, and you don't have to -- that's why you hire him -- because HE does. Just trust him. Do what he says. Rock that AAA credit score you'll get and pop bottles with the $$$ you'll save.
