PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Melanie O'Brien
www.myirmgroup.com
Melanie began her career in insurance in 1995 when a close family friend suggested she inquire about an opportunity at Prudential. She was quickly hired and after a year in Human Resources she was promoted to sales coordinator for an established, successful, health insurance agent.
In 2000, another promotion landed Melanie in a sales management role in the property and casualty division. She was instrumental in the continued development and growth of the agency as it merged with Insurance Office of America (IOA).
As time went on, she noticed the insurance industry was losing its focus on customer service and neglecting the importance of an individual approach to client relationships. Realizing the potential this presented, she seized a great opportunity and opened IRM with a mission in focusing on a friendly service-oriented approach to helping clients achieve their insurance goals.
Melanie is a native of Jupiter, FL and a graduate of Florida State University.
A proud mother, she has a son Connor, 13, a daughter Spencer, 9, boyfriend Dan of 3 years who has two children as well. In her free time, she enjoys watching her children’s sporting events, cheering on FSU Seminole football and relaxing at the beach.
She resides in Sanford along with her pug Lola.
