From 37 years as an International Petroleum Trading executive, George brought his quantitative market value analysis and honed negotiation skills to the real estate business. While his background of valuing commodities continually brings value to his clients—George believes a home is not another commodity and the quantitative value is only part of the story. Emotional value is of equal importance when it comes to buying or selling a home. As he puts it, “With buyers, its 50% “wanting to know exactly what it’s worth” but the other 50% is falling in love with the right house. “In the corporate world, doing a good job benefits shareholders—in the real estate market there is great personal satisfaction in helping people find their right home and building life-long relationships.”

George’s desire to help others, combined with his long-time interest in real estate, complements the Greenwood King team. Proving to be a real estate “natural”, he has been the GK rookie of the year and a consistent GK top producing agent. George has lived in and specializes in Houston’s top neighborhoods and areas such as River Oaks, West University and West Houston.

This 6th generation Texan graduated from The University of Texas with a Bachelors in Business Administration and has pursued graduate studies at Butler University, The University of Houston, and St. Catherine’s College in Oxford. When he’s not devoting time to his clients, George is actively involved in his church: St. John the Divine, and grandfathering. Other interests are various civic and charitable activities, friendships, wine and travel.
