Philosophy
Real estate has been the family business for 37 years, Kassy & Tom have worked together in the business they both love, and then, with the addition of Lindy, she too, moved the Kaiser commitment to serving long standing clients as well as new clients into the future.
The key to exceptional real estate service is having the passion to help others reach their goals and to establish deep and long lasting relationships with clients and also lasting relationships with fellow realtors, mortgage lenders, escrow & title companies as well with home improvement contractors, etc., in which they all can be utilized to benefit the client and be a strong team. Both Lindy and Kassy have been notaries since becoming realtors. This has also added benefits for both clients and friends.
“We believe on focusing all of our time on each of our clients before, during and after the transaction, and giving them the hands-on service they deserve,” says Lindy.
Kassy Kaiser:
Kassy grew up on a farm in a small town in Indiana where hard work, dedication, strong ethics and lasting relationships were instilled in her at an early age. A desire for excellence has always been a part of Kassy Kaiser’s nature. Kassy lives by a simple philosophy taught to her by her parents which is that she could do anything she wanted if she set her mind to it. Kassy lives this and passes it on to her clients every day. Her mentor and grandmother was an executive in a man's industry when women were hardly in the business world at all. "She was a professional, loving, caring, intelligent woman respected by all her peers, and I wanted to be just like her,” says Kassy.
Growing up Kassy was a fierce competitor; she consistently won blue ribbons and championships in 4-H competitions. She then excelled in college, graduating with honors from Purdue University with a double major in home economics and math. She went on to a career teaching math and home economics at the college and secondary levels. All along, Kassy strove to be the absolute best she could. "Anything less than the best is unacceptable",” she says.
Kassy and her husband Tom moved to San Diego in 1972, when Tom accepted the position of City Engineer in El Cajon. They loved San Diego and decided this is the place they wanted to live and raise their family. Kassy and Tom have raised 3 wonderful children: Greg, Jim and Lindy. Shortly after moving to San Diego, she and her husband Tom built two spec houses. While the first home sold immediately, the second presented many frustrations. It was then that Kassy realized she wanted to know more about real estate and she and Tom both earned their real estate license. Kassy found that she had a real passion for selling real estate; it gave her an opportunity to do what she does best...help people each and everyday!
Kassy's success was immediate. At the end of her first full year, she was ranked No. 1 in residential sales among the 123 San Diego Century 21 offices. Her dedication to providing the best service possible to each client, maintaining leading edge market knowledge, and building deep and long lasting relationships, is what makes her so successful. “"I strive to be a knowledgeable professional, an excellent negotiator, and to be known as someone who really cares about her clients", she says.
Lindy Kaiser:
The next generation of Kaiser, Lindy, joined the family business in 2001. Lindy has been an amazing success in every endeavor she has ever undertaken. Whether it is: on the sports field or in the classroom, as a student or as a teacher, working sales and marketing for an Internet company or as a dog trainer and selling real estate.
Lindy grew up as a fierce competitor, she participated in softball, soccer, volleyball and equestrian competitions, and she always gave 110%. She earned the Golden Girl award from Patrick Henry High School which recognizes the outstanding senior woman for both academics and athletics. She went on to receive an athletic scholarship for softball at UC Santa Barbara; she then transferred to San Diego State University and earned her BS. After graduating from SDSU, Lindy went on to receive her Masters degree from George Mason University in Virginia and taught middle school in Alexandria, Va. During her first year of teaching Lindy was honored for her creativity in the classroom, and won the first ever grant for her school, for teaching with technology, which supplied her school with 7 computers.
After living on the East Coast for several years Lindy realized that, she wanted to move back home to San Diego to live and work. Upon moving to San Diego, she joined the family business. "Actually, my folks never wanted for their kids to sell real estate, because they knew it is a 24/7 business, what they didn't realize is that they had been grooming me for real estate since I was a small child. They have always worked out of their home office, their clients would come over to the house to write contracts, I have listened in on numerous negotiations, real estate was discussed at almost every table conversation, I grew up eating, breathing and dreaming real estate, it got into my blood." she says.
Lindy entered into the real estate market at an optimal time for quick learning. The market was hot, which afforded her the opportunity to gain experience much more quickly then in a normal market. Lindy's unparalleled work ethic coupled with her listening skills, and her desire to fulfill her client's ambitions gave her an uncanny knack to make her clients dreams become reality.
Lindy has witnessed & learned from her family's principles of establishing and nurturing relationships. “I have learned from my parents that real estate is not a transactional business but a long term commitment to be there for your clients before, during and after the transaction providing the best service possible," she says.
Community Service
Kassy and Tom started their Community Thanksgiving Food Drive 28 years ago. This year, they put together boxes of food for over 98 less fortunate families that were selected by the Salvation Army to receive these large boxes of food. Each large box of food has 80lbs of food consisting of a turkey and all the trimmings.
Lindy is also thoroughly involved in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day Walk. This past year she helped to put together a walk team called “Lights Out”. As a team they raised over One Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars for Breast Cancer. And in another year, her team raised over One Hundred Thousand Dollars.
In addition, they also participate in numerous Children’s Hospital Activities such as Kids News Day. Over the years Kassy’s activities included local school activities, Cystic Fibrosis foundation, Easter Seals and Honor Flight. Lindy has run in the “Rock and Roll Marathon” to benefit the Leukemia Foundation. She has also repelled down the Hyatt Hotel, raising money for disabled children.
