LINDA'S STORY
This story is about what influenced me to become a real estate consultant. When I was ten years old my father was killed in a car accident. I didn’t know it then but that tragedy would impact the rest of my life. In spite of the heartache, I became aware that someone much bigger than my mom was with me and helping me in my life. We moved to be closer to my mom’s parents. My mom was the oldest of ten and seeing my grandparents, aunts, and uncles often was really nice. Mom met a wonderful gentleman and they fell in love and got married. Now I had two wonderful earthly fathers. One day when I was wondering about my dad, I decided to pray for the first time in my life. I asked God if my dad was alright. I didn’t hear anything or see anything but God communicated such an assurance to my heart that my dad was fine that I began praying to him every day. The kindness and mercy God showed me caused me to want to do the same for others.
One day my husband and I bought a new construction spec home from a builder. Most everything was decided but the builder was very kind and let me make some final decisions. We remained in contact during our time in that city. When we found out that we were moving to Dallas, our builder friend mentioned that he had a friend out there that also was a builder and had I ever thought about helping people with the purchasing process of new construction. I had never thought about it but because of his kind words and his confidence in me, I ended up getting my real estate license in Texas in 1992 and have been helping sellers and buyers with their real estate dreams ever since. Being a real estate consultant is very rewarding to me!
