Melinda is a person with passion for whatever she does. As a young college graduate, Melinda started as a bench chemist in the early days of environmental biotech research, seeing early on that she had the ability, and not the passion for chemistry, Melinda began the process of moving into Marketing and Sales by working full time in technical service and sales for a chemical company and going to school at night to earn her MBA from Northeastern University. During that time Melinda was introduced to something that would quickly become a passion: travel. Melinda was raised in New Hampshire with her parent’s Midwest values of hard work, mixed with some yankee ingenuity and resourcefulness. She moved from New England to California first in 1989 and then after some time outside of Chicago, went back to Orange County to raise her family in 1997. At about this time she began to invest in property for retirement, where she learned she could apply her marketing skills to vacation rentals at a very high level. By 2006 Melinda had earned her California Real Estate Broker’s license and founded BETTER Vacation Rentals. The company was built on providing better outcomes for property owners, guests, and the surrounding community. Melinda moved to the San Diego area in 2009.
Melinda joined Keller Williams Realty in 2013 to sell residential real estate full time. In a short time Melinda joined the ranks of the top 5% of real estate professionals in San Diego county as well as in her office, the top office in the county. She sits on the ALC (Board of Directors) for this $1 billion dollar office.
As a business person, Melinda brings a energetic and professional approach to real estate. She combines the unique nature of both the art and science of pricing and marketing homes, of assessing and satisfying buyer needs. Her tactics and skills consistently helps her to sell homes faster and for more money as well as to save her buyers money and get their offers accepted. Her collaborative approach helps bring both parties to the closing table. Melinda is a problem solver.
