Professional Approach
As Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor at Wealth Enhancement Group, Chris brings over three decades of experience helping individuals and families navigating the complexities of financial planning and investment management. His approach begins with a comprehensive financial plan, tailored to support lasting financial security—especially for those in or near retirement.
Chris holds several professional designations including:
- CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®)
- Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL®)
- Certified Elder Planning Specialist (CEPS)
- Certified Blockchain & Digital Assets (CBDA) – though not actively incorporating cryptocurrencies into client portfolio management, this certification reflects a curiosity and commitment to staying well informed.
Founder of Asset Management Resources, LLC in 2008, Chris' firm joined Wealth Enhancement in 2024. Then and now, the AMR team has been focused on primarily serving those intent on a secure retirement. Prior to that, Chris served as a Principal at Jefferson Pilot Financial (now part of Lincoln Financial Group). His career in financial services began in 1990.
Beyond advisory work, Chris has been a long-time advocate for financial literacy and professional development:
- As host of “Something More with Chris Boyd” since 2007, a personal finance program that aired on radio for 17 years and continues as a podcast for over a decade.
- As Creator and former co-host (for 6 years) of the Wicked Pissah Podcast, produced for the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of New England.
Member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) since 1998, having served as Chapter President (FPA of New England) and on committees including Membership and Programming. He also represented the chapter on the OneFPA Advisory Council Executive Committee for three years.
Community involvement has been a core value:
- President of the Holy Cross Club of Cape Cod (since 2022; board member since 2018)
- Former board member of the Cape & Islands Workforce Investment Board (6 years)
- Active in local philanthropy and civic engagement on Cape Cod
On a personal note, Chris resides on Cape Cod with his wife, Kristen, who is also his partner at work. They have three adult children. Outside of work and board service, Chris enjoys walking with Kristen for exercise, pontoon boating in the summer, and occasionally playing Pickleball. He's a fan of “movie going” and loves to drop the occasional film reference.
