Jennifer Myers, CFP®, President of SageVest Wealth Management, is a proud longstanding recipient of the Five Star Wealth Manager award recognizing her dedication and accomplishments as a financial advisor.

With more than twenty-five years of experience, Jennifer works closely with clients, interweaving the investment and financial facets of their lives.  Her mission is to help clients achieve their goals with confidence and clarity.

Jennifer and the SageVest Wealth Management team assist clients with all aspects of their finances, including investment management, retirement planning, charitable giving, tax optimization, and legacy planning.  Each advisor serves as the client’s financial quarterback, ensuring that all financial considerations are mutually supportive.  The team is committed to knowing every client well, treating them with integrity and respect, and understanding them as individuals with unique goals. 

As a female business owner and mother, Jennifer is focused on supporting individuals and families to gain opportunities and achieve financial success.  This dedication extends to her clients as well as the broader community through professional involvement and a variety of educational initiatives.

Jennifer has also spoken on a variety of financial planning topics ranging from broad planning initiatives to more discrete topics such as wealth transfer planning, financial values, children and money, and women’s financial planning considerations.

Her professional affiliations include membership in the Financial Planning Association (FPA), The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the Northern Virginia Estate Planning Council, the McLean Estate Planning Council, and the Washington, DC Estate Planning Council, of which she previously served as an officer and director. In the community, she has been a member of the Women’s Business Giving Circle at the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia and the Washington Women’s Leader Initiative.

Prior to establishing SageVest, Jennifer served as partner in a local RIA firm.  She also provided financial and business analysis for Unisys and the U.S. Postal Service.

Jennifer received her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The George Washington University. She also received the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional designation from the CFP® Board of Standards.

Award recipients are selected by their peers. The Washingtonian editorial team sends out a survey at random with its peer nomination. Financial advisors who receive the most peer votes are listed in the award publication.

Advisors do not pay a fee to be considered or awarded. Advisors may purchase plaques and marketing materials after receiving an award. SageVest participates in such options.

Northern Virginia Magazine Awards (multiple years)
Award recipients are selected by their peers. The Northern Virginia Magazine sends surveys to areas financial professionals asking them to nominate other experts to whom they would recommend friends and family who need financial planning advice. Those on the list received the most nominations.

Advisors do not pay a fee to be considered or awarded. Advisors may purchase plaques and marketing materials after receiving an award. SageVest participates in such options.

Five Star Wealth Manager Awards – Washington, DC (multiple years)
The Five Star Wealth Manager award, administered by Crescendo Business Services, LLC (dba Five Star Professional), is based on 10 objective criteria:  1. Credentialed as a registered investment adviser or a registered investment adviser representative; 2. Active as a credentialed professional in the financial services industry for a minimum of 5 years; 3. Favorable regulatory and complaint history review*; 4. Fulfilled their firm review based on internal standards; 5. Accepting new clients; 6. One-year client retention rate; 7. Five-year client retention rate; 8. Non-institutional discretionary and/or non-discretionary client assets administered; 9. Number of client households served; 10. Education and professional designations.

Wealth managers do not pay a fee to be considered or awarded. Once awarded, wealth managers may purchase additional profile ad space or promotional products. SageVest has participated in such options. The award methodology does not evaluate the quality of services provided and is not indicative of the winner’s future performance.

In 2019, 1,956 Washington, D.C. area wealth managers were considered for the award; 122 (6% of candidates) were named 2019 Five Star Wealth Managers.

In 2018, 1,975 Washington, DC. wealth managers were considered for the award; 100 (5 per cent of the candidates) were named Five Star Wealth Managers.

In 2017, 1,417 Washington, DC wealth managers were considered for the award; 106 (13 percent of the candidates) were named Five Star Wealth Managers.

In 2016, 1,665 Washington DC wealth managers were considered for the award; 208 (13 percent of candidates) were named Five Star Wealth Managers.

In 2015, 1,837 Washington DC wealth managers were considered for the award; 227 (13 percent of candidates) were named Five Star Wealth Managers.

In 2012, 449 Washington DC wealth managers were considered for the award; 97 (approximately 22 percent of the award candidates) were named Five Star Wealth Managers.

* As defined by Five Star Professional, the wealth manager has not: A. Been subject to a regulatory action that resulted in a license being suspended or revoked, or payment of a fine; B.
