About James

James O’Grady is the President and Founder of Braemar Wealth Management, a boutique style financial planning and investment management firm serving individuals, institutions and charitable organizations in the Los Angeles and New York City areas. James built the foundation of his career advising affluent clients
and institutions near his native home in New York and Greenwich, CT for one of the largest investment firms in the world. Within a short time, James's business became one of the firm's fastest growing in the New York Metro area. After several years of success, he moved to the Los Angeles area with the intention of providing the same advice, performance and service that his East coast clients had come to expect from him. Within a short time, James's business was again one of the fastest growing in the firm, this time in the Los Angeles area. Subsequently he was chosen for the firm's Executive Mentorship program, an exclusive development program for the firm’s future executives.

After the market events of late 2008, James began to evaluate whether or not he was in the best
position to provide the best products, resources, and service to his practice. After much research and
due diligence, the Braemar model was executed, a transition was made, and James continues to serve
his broad and loyal client base.

James and his firm Braemar Wealth Management have been in in the South Bay of Los Angeles since 2009. He has been named a Los Angeles area Five Star Wealth Manager for the last 12 years. Several of the last years he has achieved member status in LPL Financial’s Top Producer Club. He is a graduate of California State University Los Angeles with a BS in Management. James enjoys playing golf, adult softball for local
teams, spending time with his family, and is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
He lives in the South Bay with his wife Sarah and their two children Thomas and Charles.

Credentialed as a registered investment adviser (RIA) or a registered investment adviser representative; 2. Actively licensed as a RIA or as a principal of a registered investment adviser firm for a minimum of 5 years; 3. Favorable regulatory and complaint history review (As defined by FSP, the wealth manager has not; A. Been subject to a regulatory action that resulted in a license being suspended or revoked, or payment of a fine; B. Had more than a total of three settled or pending complaints filed against them and/or a total of five settled, pending, dismissed or denied complaints with any regulatory authority or FSP's consumer complaint process. Unfavorable feedback may have been discovered through a check of complaints registered with a regulatory authority or complaints registered through FSP's consumer complaint process; feedback may not be representative of any one client's experience; C. Individually contributed to a financial settlement of a customer complaint; D. Filed for personal bankruptcy within the past 11 years; E. Been terminated from a financial services firm within the past 11 years; F. Been convicted of a felony); 4. Fulfilled their firm review based on internal standards; 5. Accepting new clients.
