Mitchell Kraus has been helping clients plan for their financial future since 1993. He and his father, Arthur, established Capital Intelligence Associates in 2003 as a comprehensive resource for independent, objective advice and trusted financial guidance.
After graduating from Harvard High School (now Harvard-Westlake), Mitchell attended the University of Pennsylvania. He went on to earn the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®), Certified Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations, which he feels demonstrate his expertise, credibility, and commitment to practicing with the highest degree of integrity and ethics. Working as a legacy planner, in the last few years Mitchell has added the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®), Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC®) and The Chartered SRI Counselor™ (CSRIC™) professional designations to work with his clients on their philanthropic planning, special needs planning and helping clients match their values to their portfolio.
Mitchell is dedicated to giving back to his community. He volunteers with nonprofits such as Rotary International, serving as the Santa Monica's club's president from 2018-2019, the Santa Monica Family YMCA, and WISE and Healthy Aging, a social services organization serving the greater Los Angeles area. Mitchell is a graduate of the Riordan Leadership Institute program on nonprofit board governance. He is committed to the principles of socially responsible investing, and as evidence of his concern for the environment, his home is solar-powered and he drives an electric vehicle.
When not hard at work helping his clients, volunteering, or spending time with his family, Mitchell loves to travel, and spent New Year’s Eve in a different country eight years in a row. He also enjoys home-brewing his own beer. Mitchell and his wife, Cynthia, are both California natives and live in Mar Vista with their son, Zachary.
