Robert Schmansky, CFP®, has over a decade of experience helping individuals and families meet their financial goals and overcome money concerns, beginning his career managing the portfolios and tax plans of senior corporate executives. He subsequently worked as an investment advisor for one of the nation's largest independent investment management firms before founding Clear Financial Advisors.
Rob is frequently quoted in the media, including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, CNBC, ABC News, SmartMoney, CNN Money, Reuters, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Detroit Free Press, Chicago Tribune, Dow Jones Newswires, MarketWatch, National Public Radio, and other publications.
Rob earned a B.S. in human ecology with family resource management specialization and an M.A. in economics. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, an Enrolled Agent (EA), and is a licensed Life Insurance Counselor in the State of Michigan.
Rob has been an adjunct instructor of global economics and the required courses for candidates to sit for the CFP® exam. He has contributed to the retirement planning knowledge requirements for those seeking international CFP® certification under the Financial Planning Standards Board. In 2014 he was selected by CFP® Board to serve as a CFP® Board Ambassador to promote the value of financial planning and CFP® certification among the media and public. In 2015 he was chosen by InvestmentNews as a top national talent in the financial advice industry.
