About Joe
Though born in Baltimore, Maryland, Joe Brown considers himself a Texan. When he was only two years old, his family relocated to East Texas where he grew up with a strong work ethic. After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin, Joe served five years as a U.S. Navy officer, mostly at the Naval Air Station, Millington, Tennessee. Upon moving back to Austin, he began a career in real estate for eight years before a mortgage banker friend encouraged him to pursue the financial side of the business.
With over 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry, Joe has helped more than 4000 families (in some cases three generations) with mortgage financing and built a reputation based on integrity, dedication and customer service. He is proud to have been awarded the Five Star Mortgage Professional designation for 13 years! This award is based on annual surveys of mortgage customers and real estate agents.
