I measure the success of my work by a balance between diligence, creativity, fulfillment of project needs and an enjoyable process for all involved. I encourage an interactive relationship between team members by facilitating communication throughout my daily activities.
I am a project leader with over 30 years of experience in real estate, design, construction and development, with an emphasis on project management. My architecture experience includes mixed-use and senior housing of all construction types. Beyond traditional architectural services, I have experience in feasibility studies, master planning, project programming, renovation and adaptive reuse projects. I have also achieved expertise in sustainable design including LEED accreditation.
I believe effective project management includes an understanding of management of schedule, budget and scope, but also an understanding of the skill level of all team members and the design and technical aspects of the project. I am an effective communicator, consensus builder and establish a collaborative working environment for all my project teams.
In addition to my career as an architect, I developed, owned and operated an 8 room inn for 10 years and following that have been a realtor for approximately 2 years. I am licensed as an Associate Broker in Maine.
