I am a Realtor and I do what I do because… I find my joy in life by helping others, I love hearing about where the favorite chair or grandma’s buffet table will go, I see the potential in what a good real estate investment will bring to your future wealth. I am thrilled to meet new people, I am detailed orientated, I provide my clients with all of the steps to make a real estate purchase or sale happen, and we work as a team throughout the process. I can see how a home will look to a buyer and the staging steps needed to make it pop and I love finding what makes a buyer’s top 3 list of “needs” in a home (trust me this one can be tricky and tends to change for many people as you go through your home search)! I get to experience a little piece of my clients’ life as they make a move into or out of a home. I know when to negotiate strong and when to step back and help you see the whole picture which is one of my most appreciated skill sets with clients. I am able to give back to our community through Austin Angels and Florence's Comfort House. I am a Realtor and I do what I do because it is a full time career that I love.
bit of a rarity for Austin, Rachael grew up here and is a long time Austinite. Never feeling the need to stray too far from home base, she attended The University of Texas at Austin graduating as a 3rd generation Longhorn. Her first position out of college was with a local commercial real estate firm which eventually led Rachael into residential sales.
Seeing in Rachael the work ethic, attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills needed in a true real estate professional, her superiors insisted she obtain her real estate license, encouraging that she should ‘do what they do’. Unfortunately for the commercial firm whom Rachael holds dear, she decided on a more personal career and set her sights on residential real estate. Word of an opportunity as a Buyer Agent with the largest real estate firm in Austin emerged, and Rachael was sold. She worked as a Buyer Agent, focusing solely on helping buyers purchase homes, for over 2 years before delving further into the various facets of residential real estate.
After years of intense learning, Rachael separated from that team and began her own real estate practice. Loving the tech angle Sky Realty offered, the astute Broker and President of the company, and the comradery of the agents, Rachael transitioned to Sky Realty in 2011. Today Rachael specializes in working with buyers and sellers, plus the experienced investor in Austin and surrounding communities. She’s worked hard to generate a business driven by referrals and holds each and every client close throughout each real estate transaction.
Keeping the process of real estate and the relationships with her clients honest and upfront is Rachael’s mantra. She shortens this philosophy of business to ‘Personal Real Estate’, and it means the world to her that clients consider themselves experienced in real estate after working through a purchase or sale at her side.
Rachael’s most favorite Austin past time is “running Town Lake”. With three little ones in tow these days, that past time is a far cry from today’s favorite, which is anything involving a pool and fun with the family. However, on a day when there is time, you might catch her downtown walking around the Capital and along Congress Ave, or people watching at Roaring Fork as the business suits and tourists dine.
