Professional Approach

Paul has been serving in financial services since 1987 and active as a financial advisor since 1999, practicing with individuals and small businesses to help them work toward their financial goals. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, he takes pride in understanding each person’s unique circumstances and developing personalized strategies to get results.

Paul graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1985 with a degree in political science. He moved to the Twin Cities in 1987 to work with The ELCA Board of Pensions, the pension and benefits arm of the largest American Lutheran church. After more than a decade of service at this nonprofit, he transitioned to working as a financial advisor, a natural outgrowth of his experience serving in financial services with a national church organization.

He is a lifelong learner who continues to educate himself in the ever-changing world of portfolio management and financial planning. He considers helping people and putting their interests first as the cornerstone of his excellence in his business.

Paul has lived in the Twin Cities for more than 30 years with his wife, Barb. They have two children, Josh and Hannah, son-in-law, Mike, and a precious granddaughter, Adeline, all also living in the Twin Cities. Paul has served the community is various ways, including stints on the local YMCA board, service at his local church, and Toastmasters. He currently has a special affinity for Hands of Freedom, which he supports on a regular basis as they provide help to children in India who are looking to build a better life for themselves.
