Jill Schafer is a multi-year winner of the Denver Metro Association Realtor’s (DMAR) Excellence Award and a multi-year winner of the Five Star Real Estate Agent award featured in 5280 magazine. Less than 7 percent of Denver-area agents receive the Five Star award. Her past clients select her year after year for providing the highest level of overall customer satisfaction. She currently serves on the DMAR Trends Committee and is often the real estate expert interviewed by the local media about what is going on in the Denver market.
Jill is a full-time professional Realtor® known for her extensive knowledge of Denver, the southern suburbs, the in-fill new construction market and investment properties. She has a tireless work ethic and is known for her tough negotiating skills. Jill is a Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) as well as a certified Relocation Specialist. Her staging, home prep tips and creative marketing concepts bring her sellers top dollar and her connections and research help buyers find their dream home quickly.
Jill and her husband Tom (DU ’88) had a negative experience with a real estate agent when they moved to the Denver area in 1994. Now, when Jill works with buyers and sellers, she takes special care to make sure they have a great experience. Her two boys have attended private, public and charter schools in Colorado, and now one is in college in Denver. This gives her a thorough knowledge of Colorado’s Public Schools “Choice” program as well as other educational opportunities in the metro area.
Jill fostered her strong sense of honesty and candidness growing up in small town in North Dakota. She went to college in Minnesota (MSUM,’87) where she received degrees in Speech Communications and Mass Communications with an emphasis in Journalism. Her years as a television news anchor, reporter and producer honed her listening & research skills which benefit her real estate clients today.
Jill's greatest loves are her husband, two boys, continuous learning, movies, lacrosse, home design and her volunteer work as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children.)
