Professional Approach

Bob Fries has been an independent financial professional since 1999. In 2003, he founded Rising Sun Investments, LLC. He has counseled hundreds of retiring employees from many of the area's largest firms. Over the years, Bob has developed a network of professionals in the areas of investing, retirement, tax planning, and legacy planning to help his clients meet their financial needs. Bob has also taught college classes in retirement planning and investing.

Bob has a bachelor's degree in finance from Siena Heights University, and holds his Series 6,7,24,53,63, and 65 securities licenses. He is a Division Manager of NEXT Financial Group, Inc., a repeat Top Producer with NEXT Financial Group, Inc. and a member of the Financial Planning Association of Michigan. Bob works tirelessly and loves every minute of it. In his spare time he enjoys the occasional escape to the sandy beaches of Southern California, and the more frequent getaway to Northern Michigan for a weekend of fly fishing or skiing.

Credentialed as a registered investment adviser (RIA) or a registered investment adviser representative; 2. Actively licensed as a RIA or as a principal of a registered investment adviser firm for a minimum of 5 years; 3. Favorable regulatory and complaint history review (As defined by FSP, the wealth manager has not; A. Been subject to a regulatory action that resulted in a license being suspended or revoked, or payment of a fine; B. Had more than a total of three settled or pending complaints filed against them and/or a total of five settled, pending, dismissed or denied complaints with any regulatory authority or FSP's consumer complaint process. Unfavorable feedback may have been discovered through a check of complaints registered with a regulatory authority or complaints registered through FSP's consumer complaint process; feedback may not be representative of any one client's experience; C. Individually contributed to a financial settlement of a customer complaint; D. Filed for personal bankruptcy within the past 11 years; E.
