Build your dream home!
Village of Summit — The number of homes at Pabst Farms could nearly triple as Neumann Developments Inc. plans to begin work this spring on more than 300 homes.
Pewaukee-based Neumann Developments closed a sale with Pabst Farms Development on Dec. 29 for 250 acres on both sides of Sawyer Road just east of the current residential development at Pabst Farms. The developer plans to develop 331 homes on the site, according to Cindy Wegner, director of sales and marketing at Neumann Developments.
"The economy is strong, and there is definitely a desire for new development and homes located in this master-planned community.
Neumann Developments plans to build three distinct neighborhoods within Lake Country Village and another 26 "estate-sized" lots is planned east of Sawyer Road in Interlaken Village, according to a news release from the company.
Wegner said Neumann plans to begin grading the land in spring and hopes to complete the first phase of home sites by fall.
Pabst Farms currently has about 170 homes in Eastlake Village and about 25 condominiums in the Village Crossing subdivision west of Eastlake Village. Bill Niemann, of Pabst Farms Development, has plans to build 39 more condos at Village Crossing.
The Summit Village Board of Trustees has approved site rezoning and the preliminary plat for the subdivision that is just outside of Oconomowoc city limits. The village still needs to approve stormwater and landscaping plans, according to village administrator Henry Elling.
Planned amenities
Homebuyers will be able to choose from a number of home builders to design and build their home in what is known as a preferred builder program, according to a Neuman Developments news release.
The subdivision design calls for about 110 acres of parks and open spaces, which will include walking and bicycle trails, play areas, outdoor swimming pools and fire pits, according to the release.
“We are excited to unveil the neighborhood plans and start developing this community," Matt Neumann, principal at Neumann Developments, said in a news release.
