About Chris
Chris is a native of Syracuse, NY, but has spent her adult life in Colorado. As a classical violinist, she spent well over a decade performing with several professional orchestras along the Front Range and teaching private lessons. An ongoing interest in real estate combined with a wonderful condo-buying experience led her to pursue her broker’s license in the summer of 2019. Although she has resided in the Denver metro area since 2003, Chris still experiences “wait, I live in Colorado?!” moments thanks to the natural beauty of our state. She enjoys hiking and wishes she could spend more time exploring the mountains.
Q&A with Chris Menter
Where do you LIVE?
I live in Capitol Hill and I love it! It's a treat being so close to the art museum, performing arts center (where I often perform), Cheesman Park...and the people-watching is fantastic!
Why Real Estate... Aren't There Enough Agents On The Planet Already?
When I was getting divorced, selling my house, and buying my condo, my real estate agent saw me through some pretty emotional highs and lows and that meant a lot to me. I've always had an interest in real estate, and I'm very used to guiding people through a process from my years of teaching private violin lessons. There will always be room for a caring and intelligent professional to help with one of the biggest decisions in a person's life!
What Music Is Currently On Your Playlist?
Well, I made my living as a classical violinist for many years. In the car I'm usually listening to Colorado Public Radio (perhaps you've heard me play on the classical station!). I love to sing along to anything with great harmonies, like the Beatles, and I've been getting into modern folk music lately. Really, though, I appreciate any style of music that's well done and speaks a truth.
What Cause Gets Your Time And Money?
Colorado Public Radio, Planned Parenthood, Freedom from Religion Foundation. And my cat, Lola.
Give It Up. What Local Restaurant Is Your Best Kept Secret?
I don't know that I can choose an absolute favorite! As a non-meat eater, I'm a huge fan of City, O' City, which is dangerously close to where I live.
