The Brophy Wealth Management, LLC Purpose

"Because Wealth does not come with instructions"...

Not only do these words ring true with many of our clients, they are the driving force behind our firm's philosophy and commitment. With every interaction, Brophy Wealth Management, LLC seeks to provide clients with the knowledge and guidance to help them manage both their financial life and the emotions tied to wealth related decisions.

We believe the trust of a financial advisor is earned not only through the performance of investments, but through the connection that occurs when we truly understand our client's goals, hopes, fears, insecurities, and beliefs.

Education: Masters of Science in Financial Planning with a concentration in Wealth Management. Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.

Over the last 34 years, I have helped people who have been referred to me by friends and family.  Our relationship started by working closely together to paint a picture of how they would like their future to look. As a result of this collaboration, we have become partners on the road to achieving their dreams.

I draw on my experiences as a tax accountant, an auditor of cities and municipalities, and a manager of corporate finance. I incorporate the knowledge I gained in obtaining my undergraduate degree in Accounting, and my Master of Science in Financial Planning. I have put an emphasis on continuing to learn and master my profession as evidenced by the designations I have studied hard for and earned.

Steve concentrates in the areas of: Tax Mitigation, Philanthropic Planning, Retirement Planning, Investment Management, Estate and Legacy Planning, Business Needs, Insurance/ Risk Management Strategies, and Education Planning.

My greatest satisfaction comes from knowing that as a result of being a guide, and a confidante, I keep my clients eye on the prize, and witness the joy they experience when they accomplish their goals.

Steve is a proud husband and father of three. He enjoys his grandchildren enormously. In his free time he enjoys travel, cars and boating.

Education: B.S. in Economics with a Concentration in Marketing from Bentley University

It was natural for me to have an interest in business, given that my father is a wealth manager and entrepreneur. The decision to follow suit did not come easily though. Still, I could not shake a curiosity for all things financial which led me to the business focused Bentley University, where I studied economics and marketing. I found that those two subjects are about solving financial puzzles and understanding people.

I had the opportunity to intern at a wealth management firm near Bentley University during my junior year. That experience showed me that a wealth manager solves complex financial puzzles every day, and the puzzles they solve help people to change their lives. This realization is what led me to join the team at Brophy Wealth Management, LLC.

I continue working to deepen my knowledge of personal finance through active engagement with the Financial Planning Association of Northern New England and the New Hampshire Estate Planning Council.  I will coordinate these and other industry tools with my economics background to give the most benefit to our clients.

I’ve also been able to use the things I’ve been learning as a Wealth Manager to give back through volunteer opportunities.  I’m happy to be on the board of the Financial Planning Association of Northern New England, The Reverend Gelinas Scholarship, and the Cathedral of St. Joseph’s Finance Council.

Education: B.A. in Criminal Justice from Plymouth State University

Finance may not have been how I started, but when I witnessed firsthand the financial struggles of my parents when their company stock tumbled, and their retirement assets diminished to seemingly nothing, my career path changed. As a result, I became determined to educate myself on how this could have been avoided and learn how to correct such an event on someone's financial situation.

The opportunity to start my financial career was at a large investment firm, where I was able to earn my licenses and was quickly promoted to a financial planning position. I provided guidance to clients on both their 401k plans, along with their brokerage assets for a total financial picture. By having knowledge of certain plan rules / and strategies I was able to provide holistic planning to clients that helped guide them to the best solutions based on their unique situations.

I'm pleased to be a part of Brophy Wealth Management, LLC, where we share many of the same core values; most importantly, putting the client first. I have always been passionate with helping others and being part of team that strives towards a goal. Working at Brophy Wealth Management, LLC I look forward to advancing my knowledge and sharing my expertise with our clients and team to improve the financial futures of our clients.
